Palganj, (Jharkhand) Map

Ram Prasad Ram - palganj is my birth place and birthdate is 31 oct 1952. i never forget erly days at palganj eg primery eduation at palganj middle school, ss high school kumharlalo, then, palganj was surrounded by deep forest producing various seasonal fruits,economical forest products like woodgum, mahua,dry flowers and fruit seeds,harrey,bahera and amla like aurvedic products. raja talab,mango fulwari, 5 temples ,festivals and ramlila was the children's heaven like activities. cultural atmosphare was very rich. we could understand mahabharata.ramayana and similar epics by listening from elders. i left palgan at 1971 and joined telco/ tata motors earned and learned to get degree of m sc engg from nit jamshedpur. i can understand the input of this villege in the form of development by living at limited resources and continued learning. i hope, children of this villege will develop themself by hard work and learning attitude.

Ram Prasad Ram - ram prasad ram palganj is my birth place. i wish to inform all the nature lovers regarding natural resource water management adopted in palganj as tradition since more than 150 years. as visible in satellite/map of palganj there is a big pond measuring about 120 mts long and 50 mts wide at the east of king's palace ( now ruined ).max depth of the pond is around 3 mts at present. average storage of water in this pond is around 20000 cu.mtr around the year. due to this pond nearly 20 well were found live during the summer season. this reservoir is getting filled day by day and resulting in scarcity of water during summer season. this pond needs cleaning, deepening and strengthening of bound walls specially in north side. all of the residents, local administration and jharkhand govt.should take necessary plan to keep a traditional water harvesting system live. wish all the best for the residents of the village.

Uday Shankar Upadhyay - i am resident of palganj and now living in my district town giridih. i am still connected with my village and randomly visit there. i left my village in 1976 and settled in giridih for my job purpose.i am retired teacher now abut i have some palganj based activities even now. i have written articles about palganj which may be observed in facebook page palganj. it will be convenient to mention here that palganj is still a natural picnic spot though stained with some extremist activities. it has its regional,commercial and religious values.
